We would like to congratulate our GBBPA member, Charles Heimlich, owner of Heimlich’s Karate in Berlin, on receiving the Rising Star Award from the action Martial Arts magazine Hall of Honors this past January 2024. Charles, a martial arts expert, will be utilizing his martial arts skills in his newest film Project Warrior Island.  The premiere red carpet event is scheduled to be at the Marlton 8 AMC movie theater Saturday, March 16^th, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. tickets are still available.

We were extremely disappointed to make the difficult announcement that the 12^th Annual GBBPA Berlin Fall Festival was going to be canceled…the first time in several years.  The forecasted stormy weather conditions for the day of the event, Saturday, October 14^th, required us to make this troublesome decision a few evenings prior to the festival.   This decision was not made lightly and a myriad of factors were taken into consideration.   A rain date had been advertised and was on all the participants registration forms; unfortunately, seventy-five percent of the vendors were unable to attend the next day due to prior festival commitments.  Our participants indicated that they were booked through November, as this was the prime festival and holiday season.  In lieu of refunds, we stated that we will honor all Sponsorships and registrations for next year, Saturday, October 12^th, 2024. The response we received from 99% of everyone we contacted was…we’ll see you in 2024!!!  The GBBPA is looking forward to seeing everyone next year.  Thank you for your patience and understanding as we made this decision.

Monaco Indoor Karting Ribbon Cutting was held on Monday afternoon…stormy weather didn’t stop the fun and activities that was waiting for everyone who arrived for this event.   Thank you to Mayor Rick Miller and Berlin Boro Councilmen who participated in the ribbon cutting with owner Giovanni Visceglia. 

The GBBPA presented two $100 awards to Berlin Community School students that were GBBPA Berlin Boro Fall Festival volunteers and exhibited leadership skills. We would like to wish Ciseley Cusick and Edore Pela best wishes as they enter high school next year.

The GBBPA would like to congratulate DFX Sound and Vision, one of our business members, on being the all-inclusive systems provider for the new family entertainment center (FEC) underway in Berlin.  DFX has been working on the Monaco Indoor Karting, the old K-Mart center, which will include 32 electric go-karts, arcades, ninja course and rock climbing.  DFX is installing – entertainment lighting, sound, video and CCTV.
