GBBPA SUMMER TEA PARTY FUNDRAISER

It was perfect evening for the GBBPA SUMMER TEA PARTY fundraiser…a tea fit for royalty!  Bunnycakes Custom Bakery took on the look of a first class “Tea House.”  The beautifully decorated tables included matching China, miniature tea pots, tea strainers, tea pot napkin rings and “wooden roses” (provided by CreativeTwists) are just a few of the inedible items that transitioned this bakery into a tea house. The variety of tea selections, specialty finger sandwiches and desserts were the main centerpiece of every table.  The woman behind this exquisite display is Ann Rubin.  She is planning on starting her own business called Tea with Ann, keep an eye out for her postings. NOTE: Menu included in photos.

The time passed quickly while everyone enjoyed the tea party, new friendships and old were being cultivated.  Additionally, we were able to bring awareness to the GBBPA,  as well as, passing on the information about our upcoming fall festival.  We appreciate everyone who supported the GBBPA by attending this event as the money raised is being used towards our annual GBBPA Berlin Fall Festival.

This event included several others to pull it together. I want to particularly thank my Fundraiser Chairperson, Stephanie Schwarz for coordinating and assisting with the event.  A very special thank you to Bunny Lyons, Bunnycakes owner, for allowing us to utilize her bakery for two days.

Past Meet & Greets

The GBBPA Meet ‘n Greet Fundraiser held at The Cuebox was a phenomenal success.  Shane Bernat, the owner of The Cuebox and a GBBPA member, suggested our fall fest fundraiser be held at his billiards club with permission to have the attendees participate in playing.  Everyone had a blast…Stephanie Schwarz held her own playing against Shane!  Others also joined in playing or just delighted in the camaraderie with those in attendance as they enjoyed the variety of things to eat and drink. A big thank you to those GBBPA members who generously donated the food and beverages.  This was a huge savings for our organization.  We truly appreciated everyone who attended, as the money raised is being used towards our annual GBBPA Berlin Fall Festival.

A big thank you to David Rettinger, owner of Rettinger Fireplace System, who donated a magnificent Rouge® Pro-S 525 Propane gas grill worth $1700 as our door prize. Everyone was given a free raffle ticket upon paying for the event and they were beyond thrilled.  The lucky winner of this door prize was Shane Bernat!

The GBBPA Meet ‘n Greet Fund Raiser and celebration of Ollie Gator’s Pub expansion was truly a fantastic evening.  Rob Long, owner of Ollie Gator’s, and Betty Velie, GBBPA President, had to postpone the original date but it was well worth it.  We’d like to thank Berlin Boro Mayor Rick Miller and Councilman Keith Hohing for taking the time to join us and our attendees.  In addition, we were thrilled that the artist of the beautiful “Gators” mural, Alysia Mackenzie, was able to be there as everyone was admiring her work. This event afforded the GBBPA the opportunity to welcome several of our current members, in addition to, quite a few potential new members as they enjoyed a delicious buffet.  We are pleased that this gathering gave everyone the opportunity to find out more about our organization as they socialized with our current members.  The GBBPA would like to thank the entire Ollie Gator’s staff, particularly Tara, and Managers: Brandon Edmondson and Ron Trewern.

Meet & Greet - April 2018

Thank you to everyone who attended the GBBPA Spring Meet and Greet held at Roma Stellato’s restaurant. The guest speakers, Lisa Frattali, IDSHIELD, and Gerald Jack, LEGALSHIELD, explained the significance behind identify theft and legal protection. It was a pleasure meeting so many new folks, as well as, our current members being able to learn more about the other GBBPA business members. In addition, it was a perfect occasion to introduce our newest member, Joe Stellato and owner of Roma Stellato’s, to the GBBPA members in attendance.
