On Thursday, April 30, 2020 the South Jersey Breast Cancer Coalition and the Women of Hope Resource Center, both Berlin based nonprofits, will host their Annual “Survivors Always in Style” fashion show. This year’s event will be held at Lucien’s Manor – 81 W. White Horse Pike, Berlin at 6pm. Guest speakers include: Dr. Pallav Mehta, MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper; and Ms. Juanita Nazaro, a licensed addiction counselor.
The event will be presented in memoriam honoring Melissa Peters from Berlin who passed away from breast cancer and Carol Bowen from West Berlin who passed away from domestic abuse violence. Each of the models in the fashion show are either survivors of breast cancer, domestic abuse, addiction or human trafficking. Clothing for the fashion show is provided by St.Vincent dePaul’s Berlin, Greatest Find Thriftique Berlin and Boscovs. The fashion consultant is Life Coach Crystal Perez. The makeovers are all done by local salons who donate their time and energy. The emcee for the night is radio personality Candace Knox from Life Radio. The DJ, who also donates his time, is Marc Alan Entertainment. Local businesses will be showcased in our Vendor Village.
